Europa Valve has recently completed an order of 6x 30” Class 600 Non-Slam Check Valves for a customer in the Middle East.

These valves have a duplex trim. The complete manufacturing of these valves, including a specialised quad coat painting system, was carried out in-house to meet the customer delivery and quality requirements.

The sizing of Non-Slam Check valves is critical to their performance and operation. We size all valves for their specific installation location and parameters.

Non-Slam Axial Flow Check Valves like these go through design and manufacture here in the UK. After production, they are then shipped to the Middle East, where their service application is a Natural Gas transmission service. Here we show a 36” 600 Class Non-Slam Check Valve, required by one of our long-standing customers in North America. This order was a replacement for a competitor valve that had failed in service.

A challenging project, this valve replaced a competitor valve with a non-standard end to end length and was required to meet a very tight delivery window.

With Europa Valve Ltd having in-house design, machining, assembly, and pressure testing, we have full control over the process here in our UK facility. It should also be noted, that we have the scope to manufacture up to 72” valves in-house.

The team here at Europa Valve certainly had to raise our game to meet this challenge. We were able to carry out the entire production & delivery within 18 weeks from receipt of the order. The valve was delivered 14 days ahead of the quoted 20-week schedule.

16” & 20” class 600 & 900 Non Slam Axial Nozzle Check Valves

Non Slam Axial Nozzle Check Valves designed and manufactured to specification by Europa Valve for a customer in the United States; Natural Gas Transmission, a company operating within the North American oil and gas industry.

During production, pup pipe pieces* were fitted to the check valves. This is a great way to allow rapid and higher quality welds. The result is a straightforward pipe-to-pipe weld on the same wall thickness, rather than trying to transition from the heavy wall valve body to a thin wall pipe and avoids all the associated heat treatment requirements in such a process.
